I understand that, for many reasons, seeking therapy can be a hugely daunting task. It can be difficult to know where to start and how to find someone who might be able to help you. I hope the information here helps to give you a sense of me, the way I work and what to expect from therapy sessions.
You can make initial contact by text, email or phone. During our first few sessions I will explore with you what has brought you to therapy and what you would like from therapy. This will help us to develop a focus for the therapeutic work. If you would like to, we can then arrange further sessions. In my experience of offering therapy, people tend to find weekly sessions most helpful, but we could consider other options. It is your decision how many therapy sessions you have.

During therapy sessions, we will explore your focus for therapy by having space to think together, talk together and share feelings together. I place great value on creating a safe, compassionate and authentic relationship with people I work with. It is your choice what you decide to share with me and when you decide to share aspects of yourself, your life, your thoughts or feelings with me.

Over the past six years, I have developed a significant passion in working to help people understand, name and experience their feelings or emotions. This interest has been driven by my experience that psychological difficulties are quite often rooted in a complicated relationship with our feelings or emotions. Through developing a safe place to explore and play within therapy, I have seen how making space for feelings can help people to lead enriching, fulfilled lives in which they can fully seek and follow their needs, desires and motivations. By following this therapeutic interest, I completed a three-year training course in Experiential Dynamic Therapy in 2018.
